WHY JAPANESE?

   日本語一年生

                WHY JAPANESE? 

There are 3 main reasons for me to choose Japanese:

1. I love Japanese Animation. 

2. I want to read Japanese Literature in its original language. 

3. I play traditional Chinese instruments, and it is fascinating to see some similarities between Japanese and Chinese traditional music. 

(btw, I love sakura)

Japanese Animation:

My favorite work is Makoto Shinkai's Five Centimeters Per Second. I will always watch it again during the long flight from China to America. 

Japanese Literature:

I've read several books from Haruki Murakami (in Chinese), here's some of mine favorites: 

Traditional Music: 

The one on the left side is the Chinese instrument Guzheng that I play. 

The one on the right side is Japanese instrument koto. 

They look similar and sound similar, but they are tuned into different keys.
